does anyone know of a stored procedure that will work with iis smtp service to send out emails? thanks.

no, but have you looked at xp_sendmail? It does require that you have an email client on the sql server box, outlook seems to work best.

What fluteplr has said is right,Xp_sendmail is one of the extended stored procedures,and it works perfectly in sending mails.

Hello,

Did the script in the above page worked for you guys ? It doesn't work for me. I have Windows 2000 Server, connected to the Internet and everything. Though the message says, "Mail Sent", I have not receieved a single mail so far.

What am I doing wrong ?
