We are encountering a strange problem where we have a stored procedure sub-report which we are trying to run in Crystal Reports 9 against a Sybase DB that is not returning any data. When the stored procedure runs in SQL Advantage it works fine and sends back a result set. We also have the same report in Crystal 8.5 using a stored procedure with both SQL Server and Sybase, and they both run fine. The issue seems to be with CR 9. Has anyone encountered anything similar?

Also of note is that when the report is run in CR 9 designer, a result set will be sent back. So, crw32.exe handles this problem, but the oject model (craxdrt9.dll) must not.

Any resolutions that anyone knows of? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Jamie

Do you have all of the latest hot fixes and service packs for CR9?

There have been a lot of corrections to the processing of stored procedures.

Yes, we have downloaded the latest hot fixes and service packs for CR 9... I suppose it may just be an unresolved issue as of yet... I haven't found much information about this type of a problem tho.

Did you open the 8.5 report in the 9.0 designer, and do a verify database?
