I'm still having trouble and so intend to start looking elsewhere as I set my max to 750 mb and its currently running 813, it'll make sense when you've read the article.
hey guys , me again, i really need help with this Store.exe thing.. my computer is running VERY slow.. i cant do anythoin, and now it seems that internet mail is not comming trough...
Are log files being created like crazy in the mdbdata? Anything not looking right? Are you using VAPI mode? If you try to stop the IS what happens? Does it stop and then peg as soon as you start? What have you tried? What Service Pack on NT and 5.5? Dan

Yes there's about 5 ore 6 log files of 5 mb each , everything looks ok, other than the fact that the CPU utilization is at 100%... if i stop the IS.. it stops...it takes a while to stop because of the CPU again and the i can start it with no problems again...
i've ran the isinteg -patch, and that's about it..
i'm running sp6a on NT and 3 on Exchange.. i havent installed 4 because i dont understand which are the files i need and i dont want to Download them all.
I have been following your progress with the STORE problem. Has it been resolved and if so exactly what did you do? I am having the same problems. I am at Exchange 5.5 with SP 4.
I have problem with MSE2K with file store.exe,There is server w2k with sp2 and exch2k with sp1 and patch Q303451 from Microsoft site. So, Server works any time and going down with this messege: Application popup: store.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x77fcb892" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written".
I have a Power Edge 300 single PIII 800 with 384 Ram. I’ve been noticing the same things you guys have. Win2k all patches Exchange SP1, I only have 2 users on the box and no anti virus. I just recently tried to send a 120 Meg attachment and it completely freaked out outlook 2002 and the server, after about 10 min it started responding again and the message went out. The message bounced of my friends Exchange server because he had set the max incoming message size to below 120meg so I got a return message in my inbox. Store.exe started using huge amounts of RAM, I proceeded to delete the returned message and it remained in my deleted items. Even after rebooting the memory usage would creep back up to over 400 Meg. I deleted the email from my deleted items folder using the command prompt because when I was at the console and tried to delete it by browsing to the \MBX\%username% folder when I clicked on the email it froze the explorer window (yay). I then rebooted the server and memory usage has been normal for the hour it’s been up. On a site note I’ve been trying to run NT Backup on the exchange store but nothing is backed up and the Report tells me I don’t have permission to access the folders, I am logged in with administrator. How do I back it up?
I as well had only 300 Meg free on C: and once I deleted the 170 Meg email I had 1 gig free!? I’m still using a dynamic swap file and at the time of reboot I was only had 490megs of memory in use. 490 – 384 = 106 of paged store.exe stuff. But it probably allocates more just that for the swap. I’m assuming the whole problem was because of low disk space not because of the large attachment, at least I hope that’s what it was. I will be testing it out tonight when I try and send the attachment again.
I am having a similar problem as mentioned above by eoceguera.
System is running E2K on a PIII 550 with 512 MB RAM with a 10GB Disk for system and seperate 20GB Disk for the Store.
w2k is SP2, E2k is SP1 from MSDN and Store.exe version is
NAV Corporate Edition 7.51 is also oon the system.
When I activated the Nav for Exchange I got the Store.exe Problems. Also MAD.exe (system attendant) and Sysytem share 100 % of CPU load
Change the scan mode in NAV to MAPI ONLY. The VAPI is what kills you here. I had this same issue. I did this in the NAV for Exchange console (web page) and I no longer have this problem. This is verified by Norton.
