Stopping cells and tables stretching when importing imgs & SWF's

I have created a table which then centred. I then added different cells within this table so when you view the site it will always remain centred on the screen.

I have then put images within each cell as backgrounds, so it all ends up creating one image like a mosiac. The problem is when I add a pop up menu or a shockwave movie of the same size as the cell, it seems to stretch it and therefore distort my overall look of the image/webpage.

What can I do to stop this from happening? I have seen this done before so it can be done but I don't know how. Is there any way of stopping the cells from moving about or is there a way of doing what I want easily.

I've just solved the problem about adding the Shockwave file, however my new problem lies using the pop up menu. It works fine in Fireworks, it works fine in dreamweaver as a seperate html file but when I insert it into the cell everything shifts to the right by one pixel (including to popup menu) and comes in as broken links as well as the pop ups not working.

Cheers for the reply and if you can help on this it would be most appreciated.

By the way my pop up menu is in a seperate foleder to the template i am trying to insert it into could this solve the broken link issue?

Code is king. without trying to sound sarcastic you wouldnt ask a mechanic what was wrong with your car without him seeing it.

The site is offline so lets see if this helps. Just to let you know what the problem is. I can now place the menu in the right cell because i've moved the template page into the same folder as the pop up menu. The problem is the menu doesn't pop up and it shifts one pixel to the right and one down even though it is the same size as the cell its placed in.
