hi, i have a wk3 server and 50 winxp clients. Does anybody know a way stop users from changing the Office 2003 toolbars for word, excel etc. I want users to have a 'fixed' predetermined toolbar layout; whereas users keep adding/deleting their preferences. (I do not want to use mandatory profiles, for particular reasons). Is there a group policy that would allow me to do this - i haven't been able to find one from an office .adm file for example
thanks everyone

Yes it is possible.

For word you could use a single normal.dot and in a policy change the working directory of this normal.dot to point at the fileserver where you have a fixed one that is read-only to users.

We use and works well.

thanks patrick188, do you know of a fix for excel, powerpoint and publisher also? thanks
