stop users copying files

Hi,

We have an area in the network which holds standard templates for CadStar and AutoCAD drawings. However, these are frequently updated and the current issue always needs to be used.

Problem.

Some of the users are strange and want to use the templates from their own Home folders instead of from the default location. No matter how much we tell them to stop, they dont. How can I prevent them copying these files out of the templates area ??? Is there a hidden copy inhibit I dont know about ?
All users need Read permissions so they can get there, but read lets them copy the files out !!!

Until you can find a technical solution, can you report them to their supervisors...

I have notified their superior, but the problem is even auditing the folder I cant tell who is copying the files out !!
Its only later on, when a drawing is done that it is noticed, and then its too late and the drawing has to be modified.

What about scheduling a job that will delete any of the templates they have copied to their homedirs nightly?-force the dingbats to use a consistent global network share for their templates?

This would probably work, I really waas looking for something like copy inhibit, which I am lead to believe is available in Novell.
Some of our users just do it to be irritating I swear.
The AutoCAD setup and CadStar both force them to point to the correct templates, but they just open the copy they have saved and start working anyway !!!!

I just dont get it - you'd have thought this was more hassle but it doesnt seem to bother them too much ?????
