Hello. I was wondering if anyone knows how to stop a user from going in and configuring the second door for the "door release" in phone manager pro? I know I might actaully be overestimating people but all they really have to do is go into the preferences..type in a name for the second door and wham they can unlock the second door at will! This is NOT good for us. I tried turning off the users ability to make changes to phone manager but they can still type in a name in that second door regardless and it will work. I also deleted the shortcode that unlocks the second door but it didn't matter. It must be hard coded somewhere. Is there any way to block this?

Thanks!

Here in the UK we use the P45 code. Works a charm.

Thanks for the reply but I'm afraid I don't understand. You can use that code to limit a user from opening a certain door? Where do you use it?

Its the form you receive when your employer sacks you for doing something you've been warned not to do.

Try creating a user SC to match the system SC. Have the user SC go to a VM Node which plays a greeting, "please do not attempt to activate this door as you are not authorised to do so."

That suggestion might work if the Original posters post didn't include that they had removed the system shortcode and it didn't fix the problem...but that raises a question.. possibly the door code is set up in user short codes for some strange reason with the correct code? have you checked your shortcodes? maybe the problem is solved but it appears it isn't because you have the correct shortcode for the second door in your shortcodes? just a possibility

If there is already a user specific short code in place, creating a user specific short code as I suggested would have uncovered that already, but thanks for pointing that out.
Since user SC's overide system SC's, the user SC would take the action specified in the user SC, most likely disreagrding all else. By making the SC sequence do something other than open the door at the user level it is probable that the door will no longer open via short code from the user.

Does Phone manager door release funtion use shortcodes or does PM pro directly control the IPO relays?

Take Care
