Stop thoes annoying taskbar messages appearing

When I am working on my PC, I am constantly being annoyed by all the messages or prompt's appearing in the bottom right hand corner of my screen.

Things like (Norton anti Virus, Window Updates, Memory issues etc etc...)

Is there a way to stop these messages appearing on top of the program I am working on.

I have tried setting the taskbar to AUTO HIDE, Remove the ALWAYS ON TOP option.

There must be something else I can do to stop these messages appearing over the application I am using (e.g. MS Access Database).

I dont mind if they appear when my desktop is displayed.

Any suggestions?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

Create a new DWord value called EnableBalloonTips and set it to 0
