Hi,

How can I stop Outlook 97 sending an identical e-mail to the same person 3 times?? The reason this is happening is because I have an Access DB that tracks corrective actions.

I want to send the email to the buyer, the person responsible for the short term action and the person responsible for the permanent action. Sometimes though, the same person will be responsible for all of these and will receive the same email 3 times.

Is there code I can add to ensure that the email is only sent once to this person?

Help is appreciated.

I too had a problem with OE sending emails to diff people when I replied. I found out it was because in the original msg I replied to had a web link in it and it corrupted my address book.

When I replied a copy of the email went to my son, who by the way, was the last person I had emailed before this happened.

I had to print out my address book, delete all of the names in my address book, then one by one, reenter the names and addresses from the printout. Once I had done that I exported my address book (before sending/recg any emails) to a comma delimited file (csv). Make sure if you do it to include the email field or it is useless. All other fields after the email address, unless you are using them, can be excluded from the csv. Now I periodically export the file again for backup in case it gets corrupted again. It takes a few minutes but is worth the time.

Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestion - I will try it and see what happens.

I also think that it might be something to do with MS Exchange not being used in my present company. My previous company had Exchange and I never had this problem when using the same system.
