Whenever we receive an email that has a virus-ridden attachment, the attachment is quarantined, but the email still goes to the recepient. Is there a way to block it entirely? My users don't want to receive the email at all (not even a notification)

What software are you using to mark it as virus infected?

I'm Certifiable, not certified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

If you're running Mail Security for Exchange, you can set the system to delete virus infected emails through it's control interface.

Does anyone know if this is possible using Norton AntiVirus for Exchange?

I use NAV for Exchange. I changed the setting to delete the file instead of converting into to text. There's been no need to keep the file or try to repair it. I also delete it without notifing the recepient or sender. I still receive a notification under my admin account to see how many where getting. To this day, I haven't received a request to retrieve these emails.
