Rant version: I need to work with several windows next to each other while not closing down other programs. W7, Office 2010. Every time I move apages to contact another, the benighted program expands the page I am moving to full screen. It's driving me around multiple bends. There must be a way to just let them be the size I chose (although "choice" seems to have taken a back step to MS knows better these days.).

It sounds to me like you're describing Aero Snap, which is a feature of Windows 7, not Office.
