Ok Heres the setup..
Exchange 5.5 server (SBS), 2 Internet Domains (a.com and b.com) Under routing in IMS I have set up routing a.com - inbound and b.com - a.com; Saves me having to create the alias's over and over again.
One of the directors wants to stop receiving hismail@b.com but still wants to get a.com
How can I stop him recieving mail from B.com?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Ryan

Try putting his b.com in the reject messages to/from in Exchange server.

Been thick!, where can you reject incomming Msgs? I can only see where to do it for the local users.
Ry

Company-site-configuration-connection-Internet mail service-Delivery restrictions then the IMC will not let his mail through to the Exchange server

But thats going to block all mail in to him - Isnt it? because I would be putting his Account in the reject msgs to. Its only his b.com domain I want to block.

Oops, your right! Ok, do you have a firewall or SMTP filter installed? My SMTP filter lets me block users by smtp address too.

Firewall yes - Its a sonic wall But there is nothing to filter the Mail on that. What sort of SMTP filter should I look at from them (Please dont say GFI)

I use a Mail Marshal filter for spam that allows this. I know that McAfee WebshieldSMTP also has options to block incoming mail by smtp name.

If he has both "user@a.com" and "user@b.com" SMTP addresses, remove the SMTP address that you want to stop receiving mail.

yep just take away his smtp in his mailbox -> email address and then no mail addressed to user@b.com or whatever will come in.

No this wont work because of the routing I have done, I.E. on the routing tab I have Got A.com -> Inbound and B.Com is Routed to A.Com

Other Wise I would have had to have had 12 Smtp address in the box and for 90 users I dont fancy it.. I think I will end up using Outlook Rule.

Thanks To everyone for their Help

Ry
