Does anyone know how to Stop exchange creating log files?
It fills up my HD space and is annoying.

Which ones are you referring to? If it is the database ".log" files they will be gone once a full backup has been done.

I dont really back up Exchange though, is there a way of stopping them being created? It is the ones in the MDBDATA folder *.log

Enable "circular logging" and Exchange will reuse log files again and again. However in disaster recovery scnario, you may lose some emails because log files have been over-written.

You can't stop it creating log files, exchange is a database which like most databases writes data to log files before committing changes to the database.

If you use ntbackup and select the store it will flush the logs out for you, then maybe just set a once a week job or run it manually.

I'm curious, why don't you backup exchange??

In Exchange System Manager, find your server, in the properties of storage group, for example, First Storage Group, you can see the "Enable Circular Logging" check box.
