I am trying to install winxp pro on a scsi system which has a adaptec 39320r card and a fujitsu map 73gb hd I also have a asus p4b533 mb a intel p4 2.26ghz cpu 512 mb's of crucial memory a geforce 4 ti4600 video card from gainward. I keep getting a stop error when I try install the os. Tells it has been stopped so it wont dont any damages to my computer. I dont know if this is a scsi driver problem because when i do the f6 thing and put the floppy in it says the file txtsetup.oem cant be found but when i look on the floppy it is right there. Anyways I cant this to run any help I could get sure would be appreciated.

try getting updated drivers for the scsi card. the one on the disk may not be XP compatible.

I did that and when i put the disk in and pressed enter i got a driver for this cannot be found on the disk.

Just a suggestion... try a BIOS update? Flashing a new one fixed this error for one of my friends. Also, make sure your drives aren't registered as using ms-dos compatibility mode under your current os.

You've probably tried these already but just in case...
