Hi, Everyone.

I found the BSOD on one of my office's NT 4 station this morning.

STOP 0x00000050
Page Fault in Nonpaged Area

I searched MSKB. Found Q248294 stating that it might be a font problem. What I don't understand is that how can a corrupted font file cause the computer to hang? I still need to trace to see who was working on what last in that pc but is there any where on the computer that can provide information for this error??? I checked the Eventviewer and there is nothing. I also did a chkdsk and there's no error. What else can I do?

Thanks!

If the workstation has been ok since, I'd just make a note of error in case you get more - but otherwise I'd forget about it.

It happened again after 15 days... Same message!!! I did another search and this time find out that there can be tons of thing causing the same error

What can I look at on the blue screen that can point to the right problem area???

Thanks,

Can this be RAM issue??? How can I tell if a memory stick is bad???

Thanks,

Search the web for any sort of RAM checking utility. Most of them will make a boot disk and will then step through every sector of your RAM, performing basic funcitons. It will take upwards of an hour for even small amounts of RAM (64 megs), but it will check all the avaialable RAM performing all functions - essentially guaranteed to find any bad RAM sectors. Greg W
