STMI2 and STMI2hfa on a 4k v3

My Ip phones are all on the stmi2hfa

WHen I do a dis-bcsu, I show no ip address or count associated with it.

The STMI2 card, has an address and a count of 120, not sure what its used for .. help
Is it being used to talk to the 2 IPDA's that I have?

These are the only 2 STMI cards I have in the switch.

You could try

DIS-SDSU
status = ALL
link =
type = PEN
next one = PER3 (for detail) or PER2 (just shows port statuses)
ltu, ltg. slot are the address of your STMI
port = blank

That should show you all 120 ports on the STMI card and they will either be NOGEN (unused) or assigned to something.

Some of that is from memory, although I just did it yesterday. The answers should be obvious from above even if I spelled the parameter names wrong....

There is another command I was trying to remember yesterday that I was racking my brain on that lets me see how I have the board partitioned (between IP and SIP) and I can't remember it to save my life - it's driving me nuts!

So is the Stmi2hfa being used to talk to the IPDA's

The Stmi2HFA card is only used to support the ip phones. In V3 the STMI cards are function specific.
Dis-hfab amo will show you the ip info for the card. The only way I have found to see the ip address for the phones supported on the hfa card is by using assistant. The FCTid in bcsu will tell you what the cards are used for. FCTid 3 is HFA. FCTid 1 is your IPDA bch pool. FCTid 2 is for IP trunking.

4000 V5 does not appear to have an HFAB AMO, but I did manage to remember how I displayed the board configuration.

DIS-BCSU with type TBL for the pen of your STMI board will show you how the board is partitioned.

To display the IP address of an IP phones, DIS-SBCSU:xxxx,optidat;

Will also show the release loadware of phone.
