Regarding fading out an MP3 before the song has finished. I've tried the "fade out" event, and fade out combined with stop, and I've even edited the song itself so the volume goes down where I need it to. Nothing has worked. It just ends abruptly! Help!

When you go into 'edit' within the sound window, are you modifying both envelopes (top and bottom sections node's in the 'sound' time line)? From what you've explained so far it should work. I have just done a presentation with music, the first time I've done it and it worked fine. You could send a zipped .fla to me if you want and I'll take a look........
