Still having re-programming issues - thought I was finished!

I posted yesterday regarding re-programming issues following a lightning strike and thought I was finished, but have found another couple of issues:

Our lines are answered by AA in flash. I've done F983 to set the number of rings to -0- (what it was before) but the attendant set is ringing once each time the AA picks up. What we want is for her phone to be silent unless someone rings back to her using option 0. Using F983, I've checked all the lines and they say number of rings -0-, what am I missing?

Also, we have a buzzer on the shop floor that a caller can access by dialing 1; it's used after office hours so floor employees will know when the phone is ringing. The buzzer is ext 38 and I have it (and all the other phones) set up in pickup group 1 so it can be answered from the break room when offices are locked. The problem is that group pickup isn't answering the line - the buzzer just keeps going off until it defaults back to the VM on ext 21. Any ideas what I'm missing there?

Thanks for helping a "just had it thrown on her" newbie - I appreciate it more than I can say.

As for the ringing on the phone go to terminal and sets put in the operator ext. then in capabilities change redirect ring to no. checking on the other.

The breakroom phone is an M7310. I tried setting the redirect to "no" on her ext and it didn't make any difference.

*Sigh* I think I probably should just give up and get a system designer in...there are too many "little" things that I just don't know about and I'm afraid I'm really going to screw something up.

Thanks so much for your help!

Your reception phone is ringing for one of two reasons:

1) Its programmed to ring in line assignments
or
2) If no phones are programmed to ring, DRT for your lines is probably set to the reception phone. DRT rings immediately if no line has a particlar phone set to ring.

In either case you will get a splash ring before the AA picks up.

Break room phone. It could be something as stupid as using the wrong pick up code. Ther are two: group pick up F75 and directed pickup F76 which waits for you to enter the ext you want answer. In this case ext 38.

If not, It sounds like your buzzer is ringing for other reasons than when someone actually is ringing your ext 38. I assume your buzzer is tripped by the Aux Ringer relay. Make sure the relay is not set to trip on any line in Lines programming. Also make sure no other phone is set to trip the relay in Set abilities.
