Still having issues with byte counts right but veritas reports failure... I am trying to back up 25 Gb on a 40Gb tape.. When I tested only backing up 9 Gb, I got a successful report 100% completed. And that info comes from the remote server. When I attempt to back up the other files on the main file server, like I said my byte counts are up but the job fails with no errors at all... I need some help to figure this out.. here is what my last job log said...

99% of my job logs are the same... Can someone please help me to figure out what is going on here?

In your job setup switch to text view and delete the \web documents directory entries as it no longer exists on the server you are backing up.

-------------------------------

If it doesn't leak oil it must be empty!!

The failure is caused by "Directory not found. Can not backup directory \Web Documents and its subdirectories.
"

Other than that your using software compression instead of hardware.

Check to see if this directory exist. If it doesnt edit the selection list and switch to txt vew and remove it from text view

Ok thanks.. I have seen that before, but wasn't sure how to get rid of it.. I will definatly try that..

Now what can you tell be about occurances of failure due to an I/O device error... This happens about once a month.
