Still cant get document root to work

I recently posted the 403:Forbidden error thread

i made a simple html script in /home/web. i put that exact path in the httpd.conf file under document root and the document directive. put when i go to a browser and type i always get the "Seeing this instead of the website you expected?" page how do i get the httpd.conf to see my html file inside /home/web ?

Any help would be appreciated

Have you restarted the apache server since you changed the config?
 
Yes I did restart the server since the changes. I always restart the server after the changes.

Just mail me the httpd.conf file to webmaster@isgeeky.com and i'll see if i can see anything.
 
I had the same problem. I found out I was editing the wrong httpd.conf file (not the one apache was using to config from) Once I found the correct one all worked like expected.
