Hi Guys,

It seems that people are taking liabilities with the sticky keys feature in Windows and are using it to entertain themselves.
Management want this stopped, however this option is installed on about 230 workstations.

How can I remove or disable it remotely? E.G. A reg hack, .exe in Windows folder that I can delete or rename.

Thanks,

Steve.

Below I have provided a link to a website with a very impressive number of regedits that you can download, one of which is a regedit to disable or delete the sticky keys. This is a large page, so just do a ctrl + F and search for 'sticky keys' and you should be taken right to it.

Hope I was able to help.

Thanks for that Greg - I've taken a look but that doesn't seem to do it.

Any other ideas? Something like process name or something would be ideal...!

Cheers,

Steve.

I was taking a gander at google. There are all sorts of sites with information on this. I would suggest hunting around google. I don't think there is much more I can help out with since I am not able to work on the problem hands-on. I am pretty confident that you should be able to find the answer in google rather easy. Sorry I couldn't do much more for you.

Some jumbled things to look at, see if they give you any ideas, they may not be particularly relevant however.

For example, this is how the Accessibility tool would be registered:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Control Panel\Extended Properties\{305CA226-D286-468e-B848-2B2E8E697B74} 2
"%SystemRoot%\System32\access.cpl"=[DWORD] 0x07

How to Add a Control Panel Tool to a Category

What can be done with these keys?

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\StickyKeys]
"Flags"="506"

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\StickyKeys]
"Flags"="507"

Other ways to uninstall Accessibility Options?
