stgpool migrations betwen instances

Background:

Have 2 instances,

1. LTO3 stgpools (current)
2. LTO1 stgpools (older)


Issue
I need to migrate the data from the LTO1 stgpools to the LTO3 stgpools for a complete DR instance.

Both instances are running, but each instance does not know of the stgpools in the other instance, if you get me.

Is this possible?

If not I may have to set up the drives/devc/stgpools on the LTO3 instance and then set the NEXTPOOL= on the LTO1 stgpools.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi

It's possible to implement a level of DR using "TSM Server-to-server virtual volumes" whereby the "copy stgpool" operation on one TSM server writes to primary stg on the other, and vice versa. It's not trivial to set up and I wouldn't want to try to advise on how to configure it in a forum post.
