Steps to add Miran recording w/Symposium

My former vendor set up my Miran and its recordings, and I have no docs. I am now being asked to record a new message and play it before transfering a call. Can anyone offer the steps to do this. I have channel 7 on my Miran which has no current message so I have that available.

I've created a new route 28 with acod 8828.
I have recorded the message on the miran, but am unsure how to get it to play when dialing 8828

it's been a while but i can check my merls for the docs, can you plug into the front of the card? that is where i assosiated the new file with the channel/trunk

If you use the telephony interface, after you've logged in you need to press 1 for channel assignment and assign your new announcement to the channel you wish to use.

I'm using the telephone interface.
I've recorded my message and saved it as anouncement 6.
I only seem to be able to assign it to chan 0. If I try to assign it to any other channel I get an error that I am not authorized to make that selection.
Please help

you'll need to find a account with access to that channel.

have you tried the default accounts?

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.
