Step-by-Step Installation 1

Hi Techies,
I am an as400 guy, and recently I had a chance of using Oracle on AIX. I was trying to simulate the Oracle 8i 8.1.5 installation procedure but, without luck... even if I read thru the entire installation process there are still some steps I am completely not sure...

Is there any way I can get the step-by-step procedure on a typical Oracle installation?

I think it would be easier, if you describe the problems you encounter or the parts of the process you do not understand.
You just need your CSI# (~ Oracle-License-number) to create an account for metalink. Its the usual support-chanel of Oracle too, so I would recommend to create an account.
