Hello everyone,
I am using Windows XP Professional, and all of a sudden i get this error message when i tried to open excel. i am using office 97.

" One of your libraries(stdole2.tlb) is missing or damaged "

I get the same error if i disabled or enabled macros.

Any suggestions?

That file needs to be in your Windows\system32 folder.

SkipVought,
Thank you for your reply. I did checked both system32 and system folders, and the stdole2.tlb file is in both folders. Still no luck.Would a Windows XP reinstall be necessary ?

Thanks All

Probably an Office/Excel reinstall
