I have (I hope) a simple question. I have 3 fields in a group header. Units Passed, Units Rejected, and total opportunites(passed + rejected).

How do I calculate std deviation? I looked at the stdev function but I it looks like it just wants one field.

Obviously I am pretty new and would appreciate any help!!

Which field(s) do you want to perform a standard deviation on?

Since those fields are in a group header, can I assume that they are already sums of fields in your detail section? Do you want the Standard Deviation at the Group 3 Level or a different group?

I want to know what the std deviation for the following

I had 200 opportunites(Total op field)
I had 20 defects(Units Failed)
What is the my process sigma(It should be 2.78)

You are correct, The are both totals, I would like to be able to show the stddev at the same level if possible.

Thanks is advance
