So, finally Friday, everyone's eager to get home I guess [smile]

If you're just treading water, here's something that might make time pass quicker:

Recently the "Westigrant-commission" posted a warning on Voicemail Pro being used for toll fraud.

thread940-1742661

It had me thinking dial-protection alone is not enough. Also knowing that you are under attack, and who's doing it would be a valuable piece of information.

So I came up with an idea that resulted in a tool for setting multiple pin codes and callback numbers on users, and an Voicemail Portal for remote access.
Now, I don't have any customers that use voicemail, so this was just a recreational activity.

If anyone need something like this, here is the The Protector (including wav's, mod's, DB and documentation.)

Stay safe!

Kind regards

Gunnar

Pink thank you...

The best protection is no network connection, no Voicemail server, don't allow remote forwarding, every user should have a 12 character random generated password set, yes even the Fax, power down the system when activating the alarm system and buy Xima Chronicall then you won't get surprised with unexpected bills.
If you think that is over the top... yes it is but maybe it starts you thinking about security and add a chapter in every offer you make talking about the offered security and how you think it can be achieved. Then you are a step ahead on the competition.

Eyy! Wah gwaan, stinga!

Kind regards

Gunnar
