I station was taken off of the network while doing some routine troubleshooting, but when the phone was released the service state is in-service/on-hook and has not changed. I've taken out the cable, plugged back in, busied station, and released station. Any other options to put the phone in the off-hook state?

busy station xxxx should be all that is needed, exactly what are you trying to do?

I busied the station but it's still showing on-hook so no calls can come through; busy

don't worry about it then, it just hasn't refreshed yet, once you busy it out you are all set

I was hoping so, but it's been over an hour now and no calls can get through

so you did a busy and release and it shows in service now but still no calls, have you verified dial tone on the phone? also what type of phone is this? hard to help with so little info

Yes, I did a busy and release and still no calls. Yes, there is a dial tone. It's an old Avaya Definity Callmaster IV telephone. I have: verified the telephone port was correct, removed cables and plugged them back in, separated port & added port back. What other information may be more helpful?

are you able to make calls, why did you need to busy out the phone? was it having issues prior to this?

Sometimes with these old CallMasters you might want to delete and re define if all else fails.

1a2 to ip I seen it all

Yes, and in the midst of that I found the error. When the change was made the second call appearance wasn't added back. Now, everything is functioning properly. Thank you so much!!

had you given us more detail such as removing call appearances then we could had solved this last week for you

Right. Just as had I known my colleague removed call appearances myself I could've avoided having ask the question. I hope you've had a great day. Thanks again.
