Hello all,

I have a problem with latest version of Mercury Mail Transport System. I have installed everything correctly, but it doesn't start. It opens a window for a second and then closes it. I had this problem with previous versions of Mercury, but everything worked fine after reinstall.
Could you please tell me what might be a source of this problem.

Thanks for any suggestions

(Andris, I don't know if this will be of any help to you now, but it might help others...)

I just had the same problem with a new installation of Mercury/32 -- I think because of the configuration settings I used.

The only settings I changed from the default settings during installation were the directory paths. For instance, I wanted the program installed within my Sokkit directory structure: "c:\sokkit\modules\mercury\"

I had the same results you mention. When I tried to launch Mercury, a window would appear for a split second and then disappear. Mercury was immediately shutting down.

I uninstalled Mercury and tried it again, this time using all the default paths (e.g., "c:\mercury\"). Now it works fine.

Hope that helps some one!

Make sure there is a mercury.ini file. That seems like what Mercury does when it can't find an INI file.

How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?

Hi,

Thanx for your suggestions, but I already solved this problem myself. I just unistalled old pegasus mail installation and deleted ALL files that remained in old pegasus mail folder. After new installation of mercury everything works fine.
