Hello,
We are helping a co-partner of our company with a redesign of their data storage and the best program/package set up for their needs. They need to query sets of data (totaling right now in the MB range) and apply statistical analysis and best degree fits for multivariable equations. My question is - without going to a statistical analysis package, do any of the major database players have such options incorporated in their packages? I'm an Oracle guy running Oracle 9i so I know that they don't have stat packages past linear regression.
How about DB2 or SQL_Server - might they have built it within functions of these databases.
I'm thinking at this point that Access may be the way to go since I know I can link into the trendline extrapolations available in Excel. Is Access the only one?
Thanks for your thoughts and opinions on this!
