Hello All,

I'm currently using a Merlin Legend 7, and Merlin Mail 3.

I have 8 lines coming into the system, and going straight
into the merlin mail for the automated attendant features.

This works perfectly, the only problem is that Port 11, the port right above the operators port) rings once when an a call comes in.
(this is extension 101, an MLX-10 i beleive)

Ext. 101 has no appearances of pool 70 (which is the 8 incoming lines) and it doesn't have any single personal line buttons programmed on it, except 812, which is a loudspeaker page extension, and is not in pool 70.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

John.

Print out the extension in question, look for a cover button for the operator phone. It MAY be on a button that you can't see, i.e., on button 20 on an MLX-10D; you may check to see if the operator phone is forwarded as well (forward it to itself to turn off forwarding). My bet is on #2.

Hi Pepperz,

I tried what both of the options you mentioned, and no good. 101 still rings on the voice line (second line button on left side)

Ext. 101 is an MLX 20L, not a 10L as I mistakenly stated in the last post.

Here is the WinSPM details screen for extension 101, hopefully this can clear things up.

Thanks in advance,
John

If it helps, I also found this old post, which is the exact same issue I'm having except that there are no appearances of any pools on this extension.

thread689-360419 again!

Is it possible that station 101 is assigned to the voicemail calling group 770? This could cause it to ring. Brian Cox

101 is the operator console, plugged into port 2, if that's the way you want it, ok, (ports numbered bottom to top). Could you be in night service? What does the display say when it rings?
