static on phones

I have an opt 11 rel 24. I am geting static on internal side of conversation. Various phones/cards. I have replaced DTI/PRI card, SSC and SCC. I have replaced CSU/DSU on both ends and I have switched the T1 to a different one. Still no change. Any suggestions?

The static is on the Opt 11 side not on the far end.

I have verified ground and it is tight. Would this affect T1 PRI?

Have you checked your structured cabling. It's the only thing I could think of. Because I've never seen a digital T1 line with noise.

could be the carrier's equipment.

I've had it in a E1 enviroment.

Check the ground it means not that you are connected to groung which I'm shure you are, check if the ground is a real effective ground. An elctrician with the proper gear may help you.

Well after verifying the ground with the sparkies it was better than good. I have finaly replaced the backplane and the trouble has stopped. Seems like I always trouble shoot in the wrong direction.... Thanks to all of you for your input.
