STATIC ON MICS

Need help on this one guys.I have a customer with a Mics and 2.0 software, and 1-CI card.I think we all know that Norstar almost always has that little bit of static in the background (almost sounds like white noise). I think it is in the upper end of the tolerence for this situation, but the customer wants something done about it. I have already replaced the line card.Any help would be GREAT!!

1. reduce the volume on handsets
2. on hte callerid lines -> change teh settings to near / medium CO and see if that makes a diff in external calls

Could the software or ksu be at fault in any way shape or form???

there has been noise problems with CI cards in the past the global card was supposed to be part of the fix for this. I had only seen it on CICS with CI cards though.I was told that the problem was some of the codec chips had a defect in them.

I have had this problem on a CICS and two MICS. Each time we ended up replacing the KSU to solve the static problem. The cards were not the problem and the software was not the problem. It has always been the KSU.
