Hi guys,

I have a new customer with a FB700 and i belive its a misconfigured. At the moment it uses the external IP for outbound connections. I want it to use the same IP as the mx pointer. Today its outgoing ip is .19 but the mx points to .18. How do i get the server to use .18 all the time

Found a document showing how to do 1:1 nating but cant get it to work.

I am a cisco guy so watchguard is not my native playground =)

cheers

If you are using WFS, the follow the steps listed below:

1. Open up the Policy Manager.
2. Click on Setup => NAT => Advanced => 1 to 1 NAT setup.
3. Place a check mark on Enable 1 to 1 NAT and then click on Add.
4. For NAT base put in the Public IP Address i.e .18
5. For Real base put in the private IP Address of the server.
6. Then click on Dynamic NAT Exception and click on Add.
7. Next to From, set it to Host IP Address and then put in the Private IP Address defined in the Real base.
8. Nest to the To field, use the drop down arrow to select "External". Click on OK and return back to the Policy Manager.
9. The create any service and for Incoming set it to From 'Any' To 'NAT base IP Address'.....Save the configuration and then check it out.

Srijan
