I am trying to write up start up scripts using a domain controller with Server 2003 which can be used for both Windows XP as well as for windows 7 machines. Currently it is just working for Windows XP and nothing is happening in Windows 7.

The script that i am using is the basic:

net use U: \\domain\network folder

Is there anything else i need to be adding?

This should do it:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"EnableLinkedConnections"=dword:00000001

Would I add that to the Domain Controller server or to all the Windows 7 machines for my company?
