Hi,

I'm installing a BCM 450, and they're getting a PRI with DID's. We want three-digit extension numbers that match the last three digits of the block of numbers the CO is giving us. When you go to Administration-Utilities-Reset-Cold Telephony Reset, and enter in DID in the drop-down box where it says "PBX," it will not let us use 700 as the starting DN, which is what we need. Why is this, and is there a way around it?

Thanks,

Yeah, it's a fresh system. I talked to another technician and they seemed to think it was because the system could handle upwards of 300 extensions. Being that if you grew that much, starting with extension 700, it would be a conflict of interest because as soon as you got past that 299th extension, you'd have to have four-digit extensions (extension 1000). The weird thing is that you can start with extension 700 using a PBX template, but not a DID template. Thanks for the link, I'll be sure and browse through there.

Thanks,
