Hi everyone;I have a website made in "front page" and now I would like to make it buying online.I've been reading a lot on this forum and trying to understand what to do exactly.I don't know what you think about buying a shopping cart with an e-commerce template? Should I go to dreamweaver? or is it ok with Front page?(more familiar with FP):My site
Thanks

Sorry ;I forgot to say that for the credit card I already have a credit card terminal in my shop.
thanks

As far as having a CC terminal in your shop - that is issued for a swiped account (brick and mortar). Check with your processor - depending on what you put on your application, it might be against the terms of the agreement. Plus they might charge you more if you key in a credit card (due to the fact it has a higher risk of being charged back).

Hi Corey
I've been reading carefully all your suggestions on other threads and I'd checqued your site but I don't know what I do reaaly need .In fact I 'm based in Belgium and I am going to study all the possibilities;thanks for your quick answer,i'll check this site.

It can be all so confusing to say the least. And not being the US - your choices for a merchant account can be a little more difficult / more expensive unfortunately. Check with your merchant account provider to see if they also offer an internet merchant account. Depending on how your contract is worded & who you are with right now - if it is against your terms, they might put you on a MATCH list. This list is something that is shared between Visa / MasterCard. if you are on this list - your chances of getting a merchant account are slim to none.

I do not want to frighten you - just have you realize that there are differences in an swiped (brick & mortar) and a keyed (internet / telephone / mail order) merchant accounts.

I have never heard anything bad about mals-e & they seem to provide great customer service.

There are also pre-made scripts that you can purchase for the shopping cart like or
