I saved a ppt file as web presentation and uploaded it to a server.
The file is named present. htm and a folder named present_files.
When I double click locally on the first one ( on my PC), the presentation starts without a problem.
But starting it on the server does not work. i added an index file containing a meta tag :
<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0;url=http://...." />
but when I surf to the site no slides are visible only the text I put on them.
Any ideas and help ( the site is actually for my girl-friend)

hi there,

do you have a link to this site? When you view the source of your files, is it indictating the location of these files properly? (relative location, absolute location)

It could be as simply as your server requiring html as the extension instead of htm.

My experience turning powerpoint presentations into web sites isn't good. The produced web sites have extremely bloated overly-complex code and shared pics are duplicated adnasium.

I've found the best approach is to copy/paste the elements into new web pages and write a script to handle dynamic features that the presentation did.

Here's some examples of slideshows i've done that way:
then click the "slideshow" link near the top.
then click the JSNA corporate slideshow link near the top.
then click the Pluto safety PLC slideshow link near the bottom.
