I have a StarTalk flash voice mail system that I was using with a CICS with no problems, CICS was running 2-digit DNs. I upgraded the CICS to MICS and I'm running 3-digit DNs and the MICS doesn't see the StarTalk (Inactive Feature). I verified the DNs connected to the StarTalk and they are working fine.

I can connect the StarTalk back to the CICS and it works with no problems.

How do I get the StarTalk to work with the MICS and 3-digit DNs? I have no problem with resetting the StarTalk but since I don't have an Installers manual I haven't a clue how to do it.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The Flash doesnt like different platform changes without being reinstalled. And if you were sucessful in getting a log prompt you'd want to reinstall it anyhow. Lucky you have the other system to do it with or you'd be shorting the capacitor out. Also I didn't see anything mentioned about software levels. Remember to check the compatibility issues that might exist between the KSU and Flash software. [example:If your KSU software is 4.0 or higher you need 1.9 or higher in the Flash.] Incompatiblity can give you the inactive feature too.
(sorry if all this is familiar)

To Default the Flash.....
-F983
-log on (120000) or what ever your sm password is.
-enter (1)
-passord is (reinstall)
-select yes to reset the data base.

Power down Flash and remember when you connect to the other KSU if it's 1.9 or higher you'll be using Feature 903 initially to choose the high or low feature codes. Just select (ok) for the high ones. The do Feature 983 and enter (config) to configure the Flash...etc.
