Startalk C Hosed??

Hi Guys, I have a customer with a DR5.1 8x24 & startalk C (2.0L). After the AA answers and you enter a station # (221 etc) the vm says invalid extension or won't recognize the dtmf tones at all(this does not happen all the time). I rebooted the vm & the system (no help) I also had the customer unplug the vm ports 1 at a time. Still had the same problem. The external lines come in on a T-1 and convert to analog on a channel bank. Could the channel bank be bad? Or at least flaky? The lines always ring in O.K. it's after the AA answers that the problem starts. I have talked the customer into purchasing a Flash 4 channel, but I don't want to replace it and still have the same problem. Any thoughts on the problem? HELPPPP!!!

I just had a Startalk 1 go down. It booted, gave codes to the KSU and it was seen in maint. After booting all codes inactive and then, of course, all features inactive.

Same: ???

I don't think it's the same problem, everything looks good on this one. Maintenance says all good, AA answers O.K. all subs can get messages O.K. This is a real mystery......

Sounds like a bad channel on the channel bank.

Had same problem with remote ** to access mailbox, changed channel cards, hard drive and adjusted dtmf delay still had problems. Put in a flash all problems solved. I think it could have been on main board.(It was the only think left!! try to find one of those)Almost not worth fixing old startalks A B C, can't get new parts just used or repaired .

I did the same thing, replaced with a flash 4 all problems gone. I was thinking of trying to fix the startalk, but think I'll go fishing instead..........
