I have just goten a startalk and connected it to my system. Does anyone know where a PDF of the manual is or what is the feature code to access it. It tried Feature 981 but it does not work. Thanks.

Try F9*1 and see if your system recognizes the startalk unit. If it doesn't it could be because you are using an MICS or CICS with startalk. Startalk voicemails do not work with CICS or MICS units (with exception of MICS 1.x)

The startalk flash does work with the MICS and CICS but Feature 9 * 1 will let you know what feature codes are active and what they do. JerryReeve

Thanks i will try it out in a bit. i am running with a 6X16 system

Did you first assign the Feature codes Via F903 if you have not you will need to do this first . If you find a tip helpful Please take a moment to mark it as such.

Humm tried the F9*1 and F903 and i get "Inactive Feature" on both maybe the startalk box i have does not work or my system is not compatibale with it. My system Version is: SP: 30NSE08 DR5. Would it be the startalk box is there any way i can tell on the box?

On the 6X16, the software needs to be NT5B10CF, NT5B10DF for non DS cabinets. Or NT5B10CE, NT5B10DE for DS cabinets. Other software versions are not compatible.

Well then on the KSU it says

REL 04
NT5B10CE93
0402249544
970500

So should it not work then?

Yes, it should be fine. Power down the Flash, count to 10, power back up again. Wait 5 minutes. Then try the F903 first. If it comes up with the feature codes then just say okay to it and you should be able to go into F983.
If it is still pitching a fit, then plug a phone into the jack the Flash is on.... see if the phone comes up. May just have a bad port on the phone system.

Well no luck still comes up with "inactive feature" and when i plug a phone in its comes up with extention 34 port 114. Going to try and plug into the serial port on the side and see if i can get anything.

Have you tried:-
a) unplug the extn cords
b) leave for 1-2 minutes
c) power down the startalk
d) remove the flash card (ESP protection needed)
e) leave for 3-4 mins
f) replace all cords & cards
g) power up & try again

This could be worth a try.

Thanks man i ship it back DOA and they are fixing it. Looks like it was total dead
