Hi,

Is there a way to just have the server boot up with no keboard commands? Also have it shut down without prompting for commands? I would like to schedule an every 24 hour auto re boot.

create a sceduled task to run everyday at midnight..... a bat or vb script.

use the shutdown.exe utility.

for example

Set objShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
objShell.Run("%comspec% /c shutdown.exe -s -f -t 1"),0, True

Yes But it wont restart or at least get past the log in screen signing back on :(

You'll need to configure the server for auto logon. I wrote a faq on how to configure auto logon, along with a VBScript that will configure the auto logon parameters for you here:

faq329-6520

I hope you find this post helpful,
