Hi,

I got RH 3.0 ES 3update with courier-imap. I need to have sgi_fam daemon running, but I'm getting a following error in my log file

**Unmatched Entries**
xinetd[5295]: START: sgi_fam pid=18519 from=<no address>
xinetd[5295]: START: sgi_fam pid=18524 from=<no address>
xinetd[5295]: START: sgi_fam pid=18529 from=<no address>
xinetd[5295]: START: sgi_fam pid=18534 from=<no address>

I added "ALL: 127.0.0.1" in my /etc/hosts.allow file but it didn't solve the problem.

Try to add this to your /etc/xinetd.d/sgi_fam config file:

flags = NOLIBWRAP

should help :)
if not, please tell us which xinetd version you are using ... seems to be breaky with fam

thanks for you advice...it tried "flags = NOLIBWRAP" and it didn't work. i'm using xinetd 2.3.12-6.3E.

sgi_fam

disable = no
type = RPC UNLISTED
socket_type = stream
user = root
group = nobody
server = /usr/bin/fam
wait = yes
protocol = tcp
rpc_version = 2
rpc_number = 391002
bind = 127.0.0.1
flags = NOLIBWRAP
