Hi all,

We are very new to Flash 8 but learning as we go.

My boss has been using Priemere to generate Flash Videos (.flv) - I then take them into Flash 8 and generate the streaming video (.swf). All of this works very well - however my question is this:

How can I program the output videos to have the audio muted when they load - thus giving the end user the option of un-muting if desired? We've had some complaints about the audio starting rather unexpectedly when loading a page.

Thanks so much for the help!

Thanks - I've bookmarked the site. :)

In my case tho it was actually quite simple since the video came in with sound from Premiere - I just set the "Autoplay" to false in the component inspector.

Thanks

Scratch that!! All that did was stop the movie from "playing" and created a false euphoria on my part! Arggg..

So I'm back where I was.

The movie is being imported through Flash 8 "Import Video" function - I can't find a way to create any type of sound object - and the controls already exist (rew, play, FF - and Mute)

Does this need to be set (audio to default to mute) in Premiere??

Thanks

That's the ticket! I see that option now - thanks!

Thanks!
