I am very new to Project but cannot seem to figure out how to deal with military time and beginning and ending a task at a particular time during a day.

Specifically, I have a project whicb works on a 24 hour a day basis. The first task begins at noon on a particular day and is budgeted to take 93 hours. The task that follows imediately after the 93 hours is budgeted for 6 days. I am trying to create a baseline using these two tasks.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hello chartee,
Take a look at this FAQ: faq913-3275

As strange as it may sound if you want to have a task start at a specific time you have to create it at the time you want it to start. In other words if you want your task to start at noon you will have to create/assign a resource to it at noon time on your computer.

Hope this helps,
Michael

Thank you for your help. Actually, after I wrote my question, I found the link that you provided in your response and was able to get tasks in at particular times. Is there some way to use Military time instead of regular? Also, when I put the task in and indicate that it starts at 12:00 pm, it shows that way on the Gnant chart, but when I go back to the task, the time is no longer showing? Any suggestions?
