Is there any way to change a Stand Alone Server into a Primary Domain Controller?

go to upromote.com as they have a utility to do just this.

In server manager click on on Promote to Primary Domain Controller.

You cannot promote a stand alone (member) server to be a PDC using server manager Paul.

You need to reinstall the server sofware and choose install as a PDC.

Remember a domain can only have ONE PDC.
