SSH command

This should be simple!!!!

PIX 515E IOS 7.01

Command ssh ip add subnutmask outside

Using putty when I ssh to the PIX there is a login prompt I tried every possible way just can not login, any ideas???

So when I ssh to the pix why do I get a login as: prompt???

You will have to show a config, off hand I am no sure why.

shazzzzam - what did you do to get it to work?

I have set a telnet password....and I can telnet into my PIX 506e - when I connect with putty it just asks for a password....but when I try SSH, it asks for a username too.

ok I figured it out too....username is "pix" for ssh

Create a user name
#username tbanks password
#ssh X.X.X.X X.X.X.X outside

when you use putty to connect

login in:tbanks
password is your passwd you have created for telnet

with pix! user name always 'pix' but you can always configure your username
