I'm trying to implement ssh on my solaris 2.7
I've downloaded openssh-1.2.3.tar.gz,
but when trying to ./configure it, I got an error on zlib
Where can I find zlib ? how can I install zlib ?

Suppose I manage to install ssh, how can I restrict access to telnet so only my users can telnet, but root can't ?

Does somebody know any additional sites or papers on how to set up ssh correctly ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------
I have not failed, I've just found 10,000 ways that don't work

You can got the or ftp the site at ftp.sunfreeware.com.

download the zib-1.1.3-sol27-sparc-local.gz.
then gunzip the file and pkgadd. this will install it in /usr/local

To restrict root login to your console only, comment out this line in /etc/default/login

CONSOLE=/dev/console
