SRPT4653 VGW channel TN 004-00-00-03 (403) connected to farEnd 10.110.24.210:32276 TN 252-00-00-01 (fc01) was closed
incorrectly, current state = RxTxOpen

Anyone know why this keeps happening on different VGW's? It even happens withing the same MG1010 chassis.

I have a 6.0 CS1000 with (6) MG1010 chassis (MGC's) and (87) 4.5 branches that trunk to it over H.323

A look on Avaya's PEP has shown this patch p30223_1.cpl for release 6.0. It might be your problem?.

Site with several systems tied together via IP trunks is having intermittent
call cutoffs associated with SRPT4653, BUG5725 and AUD028 are also common on
this site, and as is shown below are associated with the problem.

SETUP and ACTIONS performed to cause the problem:
HARDWARE and DATA SETUP:
Two CS1K systems tied together with Virtual trunks.
Site A Set A1 Any TDM set with CLS = UNR or CTD
Site A Set A2 Any TDM set with CLS = TLD
Site A CDB INT_DATA CTVN = ATN ATN ATN ATN
Site A CDB FCR_DATA NFCR = YES
Site A Night Number is CDP to Site B Set B1 via the Virtual trunks
Site A is in night service
Site A Virtual trunks are CLS = TLD
Site B Set B1, B2 and B3 Any set

ACTIONS:
1. Set A1 dials a Vacant Number.
2. Set A2 dials a Vacant Number.
3. Set B2 dials a number that is in the NRS for Site A, but is actually Vacant at Site A
4. Run Audit (LD 44 r1 or background)

5. Set B2 dials a number that is in the NRS for Site A, but is actually Vacant at Site A
6. Set A1 calls Set B3, and Set B3 answers.
7. Set B2 disconnects.
8. Set A1 disconnects.
9. Run Audit (LD 44 r1 or background)

10. Set A2 dials a Vacant Number.
11. Set A1 calls Set B3, and Set B3 answers.
12. Set A2 disconnects.
13. Set A1 disconnects.
14. Run Audit (LD 44 r1 or background)

15. Any background audit run during any stage of any of the above calls.

EXPECTED RESULTS:
1. Call to night number is setup on the Virtual trunks, and can be answered at set B1.
2. Call to night number is setup on the Virtual trunks, and can be answered at set B1.
3. Call arrives at Site A, and is redirected back across the Virtual trunks, and can be answered at set B1.
4. AUD000

5. Call arrives at Site A, and is redirected back across the Virtual trunks, and can be answered at set B1.
6. Call is setup across virtual trunks from Set A1 to Set B3.
7. Set B2 and Set B1 and the two associated virtual trunks are
disconnected.
Set A1 and Set B3 are not affected.
No error messages are generated.
8. Set A1 and Set B3 disconnect.
No error messages are generated.
9. AUD000

10. Call to night number is setup on the Virtual trunks, and can be answered at set B1.
11. Call is setup across virtual trunks from Set A1 to Set B3.
12. Set A2 and Set B1 and the associated virtual trunk is disconnected.
Set A1 and Set B3 are not affected.
No error messages are generated.
13. Set A1 and Set B3 disconnect.
No error messages are generated.
14. AUD000

15. AUD000

ACTUAL RESULTS:
1. As expected.
2. Set A2 is left High and Dry.
No setup message is sent to site B.
crg of the TN shows a terminating TN of a Virtual Trunk.
The Virtual trunk appears Idle in all respects.
3. Set B2 is left High and Dry.
Incoming setup message is seen at Site A
No setup message is sent to site B
crg of the incoming Virtual trunk TN shows a terminating TN of a Virtual Trunk.
The terminating Virtual trunk appears Idle in all respects.
When B2 disconnects, an outgoing restart is sent on the terminating virtual trunk, and a BUG5725 occurs.
BUG5725
BUG5725 + 00B33D87 13399B0D 012BF3EB 012BCB14 012BB32F

BUG5725 + 0111070D
4. AUD028 for call 2 and 3 where 6489 is the Virtual Trunk TN in this example:
AUD028 074F1F45 00000900 00000000 00000000 00000003 00006489 00000000 00006489
AUD028 074F4AED 00000900 00000000 00000000 00000003 00006489 00000000 00006489

5. Set B2 is left High and Dry.
Incoming setup message is seen at Site A
No setup message is sent to site B
crg of the incoming Virtual trunk TN shows a terminating TN of a Virtual Trunk.
The terminating Virtual trunk appears Idle in all respects.
6. As
expected, except that the virtual trunk used is the same as the one attempted for set B2's call.
7. Set A1 and Set B3 are disconnected too.
SRPT4653 VGW channel TN 004-00-03-30 (5ce) connected to farEnd 47.104.37.252:5448 TN 100-00-02-09 (6489) was closed incorrectly, current state = RxTxOpen
TN 004-00-03-30 (5ce) was the PTN assigned for A1's call.
TN 100-00-02-09 (6489) was the Virtual trunk used by both calls.
8. Set A1 and Set B3 are already disconnected.
Set A1 was left in half disconnect, so no error messages are generated.
9. AUD028 for call 5 where 6489 is the Virtual Trunk TN in this example:
AUD028 07568065 00000218 00000000 00000000 00000003 00006489 00000000 00000000

10. Set A2 is left High and Dry.
No setup message is sent to site B
crg of Set A2 shows a terminating TN of a Virtual Trunk.
The terminating Virtual trunk appears Idle in all respects.
11. As expected, except that the virtual trunk used is the same as the one attempted for set A2's call.
12. Set A1 and Set B3 are disconnected too.
No error messages are generated.
13. Set A1 and Set B3 are already disconnected.
Set A1 was left in half disconnect, so no error messages are generated.
14. AUD028 for call 5 where 6489 is the Virtual Trunk TN in this example:
AUD028 076040BD 00000218 00000002 00000000 00000003 00006489 00000000 00000000

15. Audit run during the time that any set is in the high and dry state will generate AUD017 or AUD018 for the two time slots assigned for the intercept call.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

I am having the same issue, only I am on Rls. 7.0, and in addition to the SRPT4653, I am also receiving QOS005,QOS007, and QOS015 errors. I have received no reports of call quality issues although the errors indicate that we should.

We did have the NRS to become non responsive once requiring a reboot to recover. It has not happened again...yet.

Fact:
CS100e Rls. 7.0 HA
Geographic Redundancy is enabled
21 Media Gateway's at 6 different physical locations
SIP(no h323)for peer connectivity

I've had a case open with Avaya on this since 8/15/11. They have collected many logs, had me upgrade the MGC Loadware to mgccap07.lw, reprogram all my Virtual Trunks to ensure media security was off, and enable QOS on all the MGC's via element manager. I also opened a case on the NRS going down to obtain a root cause analysis. They moved the NRS case under the same one for the SRPT and QOS errors, saying they are related.

Example of errors:

I will post my corrective actions when I get them, if any of you have already addressed this please let me know.

@Firebird...are you saying the patch is the fix or the cause of the issue?

I found that patch and it is installed and in service.

I am not having any QOS issues.

Any other ideas?

I had a co-worker share with me that he had the same issue as you on 6.0. He said a patch was causing this issue. Avaya initially took the patch out to correct it. The latest deplist for the cs100e 6.0 does not inlcude this patch. If you can update to the latest deplist it should clear your issue.
