Hi all,

I have a problem with an SRG50 rls 1 fully patched where im getting a 5 sec delay in speech when the set is answered after the delay the call is perfect. In local mode I don’t get this issue?

I have installed seven srg’s and only have this problem on 2 of them, all setup the same way.

Connected to cs1k using best bandwidth g729.

Anyone had this issue?
regards
cx

In local mode I don’t get this issue"

In local mode the sets are speaking with the SRG and not the CS1k.

Signalling is working --- call set up works.

I would suspect there is some sort of firewall issue or routing NAT table issue between the SRG site and the CS1k that delays the media path from VGMC to IP set.

What is the network topology between sites?

Its not my network but i know on each of the seven sites they have a cisco switch poe 2 vlans and running QoS. Each site is setup the same just having trouble with 2 of them??

I have taken a network trace and as the call is answered i get 5 or 6 destination unreachable from srg to ip phone then the voice traffic starts. But this is only milli secs not 4 secs worth.

Ran into that issue a long time ago. Only happened with phase 2 sets. Phase 1 sets were fine.

Customer is running cisco routers and switches and i have found that H245 tunneling is enabled by default on cisco kit, one possible cause is that H245 Tunneling configuration does not match throughout the network. On the BCM/srg its disabled. After enabling this on the IP Trunk config and a reboot all my test calls have been fine! Continuing to monitor this and will post my findings.
